Privacy Policy

• Account information — your email address and sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider.
• Profile information — the first name, school and class year you enter, and an optional photo.
• What you tell Quad — notes, dates, reminders, appointments, deadlines, places, people and other college-life details you save, including the original wording you used.
• Mobile number — only if you add one for Text Quad.
• SMS/MMS message content — the messages you text to Quad, our replies, and a message identifier used to avoid saving the same text twice.
• Consent records — whether you opted in to texting, when, and which version of the consent wording you accepted.
• Technical information — cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in, plus basic error and request logs used to keep the service working.

We use this information to run QuadNotes: to show your own dates and notes back to you, to show school calendar and campus information for the school on your profile, to understand and save what you text Quad, and to send you the confirmations, clarification questions and reminders you asked for.

Text Quad is optional. Adding a mobile number alone does not turn on texting — you must separately check the consent box in Settings, which is never checked for you. The wording you agree to is:

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell your mobile phone information, and we do not share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in and consent data with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers we use to operate QuadNotes — hosting, database and authentication, our messaging carrier, and mapping for place lookups — may process information only as necessary to provide the service.

You can turn texting off at any time by unchecking the consent box in Settings, or by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help.

We do not sell your information. Beyond the service providers described above, we share information only if you ask us to, or if we are legally required to.

If you invite family members to view a profile you own, the items shared with them become visible to those people.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can edit or remove items you saved from inside the app, and you can remove your mobile number at any time. If you would like your account and its contents deleted, contact us and we will delete them.

QuadNotes is intended for college students and adults. It is not directed to children under 13.

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the texting consent wording changes, we will ask you to agree again.
